about feralartworks
Kathy Livick is the face behind FeralArtWorks. She left her career as a rehabilitation therapist in 2007. Before that she had never painted. After the move from city to country and without a job she was able to start to paint which was always an intention. So was photography, playing the drums , learning French and to get a dog. Six dogs have been rescued so far. The photography progressed and now sits comfortably alongside the artwork. Not much French and drumming happening. The art, however, has flourished. Art has become a passion and integral to Kathy's life. The Urban setting from where she originated and worked is present in both it's dark and light forms in her city scenes. There can be a softer safer feel to the rural pieces. A child of the late 60's and 70's some of the pop art work will show trends of the day but even the Hoppers are not spared their respective journeys. Sad scenes can metamorphosise into happy ones and what first appears to be tranquil might on second glance have a lonely atmosphere. Kathy's past life and work is carried with her through her paintings and experiences good and bad are sat inseperably side by side.
